It depends heavily on the size of the property and the specification, so here is a realistic guide based on what we actually charge. A one-bedroom flat with around 3 to 4 radiators is typically £2,500 to £4,000. A two to three-bedroom house with around 8 to 10 radiators is typically £4,500 to £7,000. A four to five-bedroom house is typically £7,000 to £10,000 and up. Larger, high-specification jobs go higher again. As a real example, a recent full house we completed, a three-bedroom semi with a loft extension, a new boiler, three bathrooms and all new copper pipework, came to around £15,000 in labour, and a full high-spec whole-house project can reach £20,000 to £30,000 or more. One thing worth knowing is that we fit copper, soldered pipework rather than plastic. Plastic is cheaper and quicker to install, but we do not trust it to last, so we choose not to use it. That decision affects the price, but it is a big part of why our systems last. Usually four to six days, though larger or more complex properties can take longer. A big part of the timescale is the flooring. If pipework needs to be chased into the floor, the floor has to be lifted, the pipes run, and then everything re-laid and screwed back down, which on its own can add a day or more. Whether the builder lifts the floor or we do also affects the time. We will give you a realistic timescale once we have surveyed the job.

Yes, absolutely. Whether you need a single radiator moved, replaced or added to an existing system, we can handle it. We can also upgrade to larger radiators if you find certain rooms are not getting warm enough.

Yes. These days we mainly fit Hive. Google has stopped manufacturing the Nest thermostat, so once the current shelf stock runs out there are no new ones being made. If you already have a Nest it will keep working until it develops a fault, and at that point we can change it over to Hive or another compatible model. A smart thermostat can make a real difference to your energy bills by letting you control your heating remotely and set schedules around how you actually use your home.
