Our team installs both wet (water-based) and electric underfloor heating. Wet systems are our core work, connected to your boiler and more cost-effective to run long term. Electric (matrix) systems are fitted by the flooring and tiling specialist who works with us as part of our team, and suit smaller areas like bathrooms or kitchens. Whichever you need, you deal with us throughout.

Yes, it can. Wet systems are more involved to retrofit because the floor needs to be built up, so they are most practical during a renovation or extension. Electric systems are much easier for our team to add under tiles or engineered wood flooring with minimal disruption.

We price underfloor heating by the number of days of labour the job takes, rather than by the square metre. For example, if it takes three days to run the pipework for a wet system, we quote for those three days. This is usually fairer than a fixed per-square-metre rate. The exact cost depends on the size and layout of the space and the type of system, so we will survey the job and give you a clear quote based on the days involved.

A wet system connected to a modern condensing boiler is generally cheaper to run than traditional radiators, especially when combined with a smart thermostat. Electric systems cost more to run but are well suited to smaller, occasional-use areas. We can talk you through the running costs for your specific setup.

Gas Safe Register is the official, government-approved list of engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas appliances and installations in the UK. It replaced CORGI in 2009. Our engineers are Gas Safe registered, which matters whenever an underfloor heating installation connects to a gas boiler.
